Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg Reunite for Ted Animated Series

Peacock is expanding the world of Seth MacFarlane’s Ted with a new animated sequel series, following the success of the live-action prequel series. Seth MacFarlane and his feature film co-stars Mark Wahlberg (John), Amanda Seyfried (Sam), and Jessica Barth (Tami-Lynn) are set to return. The animated series, tentatively titled Ted: The Animated Series, will continue the story after the two Ted films. MacFarlane, Seyfried, and Barth will be joined by new series regulars Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman in the voice cast.

MacFarlane will not only voice Ted but also write and executive produce the animated series alongside showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh (Modern Family), who also executive produce the live-action prequel. The two Ted movies grossed $765 million worldwide after their releases in 2012 and 2015. The prequel series, which launched in January 2024, broke records as Peacock’s most-watched original title to date, remaining the #1 Original Streaming Comedy in the U.S. for over two months after its premiere. The second season wrapped production in January and is currently in post-production.
