Ted Sequel TV Show Ordered, Mark Wahlberg & More Cast Returning
A sequel TV show has been ordered by Peacock and will see several stars from the original films return for the project, including Mark Wahlberg.
According to a new report from Variety, Peacock has ordered a new animated series set in the Ted universe. The main plot of the new series is unknown, but Variety reports that the show will take place after the events of the two live-action Ted movies.
Seth MacFarlane will once again return to voice Ted, with Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth all returning to reprise their respective movie roles as John, Sam, and Tami-Lynn. Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman have also been cast in the show to play the new roles of Apollo and Ruth, respectively.
The world of Ted first began in 2012, with a film co-written and directed by MacFarlane. Since then, a sequel has been produced, and a live-action prequel series premiered in 2024. That series is also still in the works, having been renewed for a second season that MacFarlane calls the funniest yet.
All seven episodes of Ted Season 1 are currently streaming on Peacock. The Ted movie is streaming on Prime Video, while Ted 2 can be rented or purchased from various streaming outlets at this time.
