Sabrina Carpenter's Star Power Ignites Civic Action, Driving 30,000 Engagements in Just Half a Day!

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has announced a significant partnership with HeadCount, a non-partisan organization dedicated to encouraging civic action and voter registration. This collaboration aims to engage fans during Carpenter’s upcoming Short n’ Sweet Tour, building upon their successful previous endeavors.
HeadCount revealed on Wednesday, September 17, that it will be present at 15 stops of Carpenter’s tour, including cities like Pittsburgh, New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles. These locations will feature voter engagement activations and immersive experiences designed to encourage fans to register to vote and participate in the democratic process. The activations will include pre-show video screen content and informational booths at each concert. These booths will be staffed by dedicated fans and long-time volunteers, facilitating fan-to-fan conversations about voting and providing resources for voter registration and customized election information. Volunteers who sign up to register voters will also receive free tickets to these shows.
In conjunction with the tour activations, Carpenter and HeadCount have launched a “Good to Vote” sweepstakes. This initiative offers one lucky winner and a guest VIP concert tickets, flights, and hotel accommodations to Carpenter’s November 23 show in Los Angeles. To enter, participants must engage with HeadCount and the democratic process at large. Since its announcement on Tuesday, September 16, the sweepstakes has generated more than 30,000 actions within its first 12 hours. HeadCount defines 'actions' as activities such as checking voter registration status, signing up for election alerts, or volunteering with the organization.
This partnership further strengthens the established relationship between Carpenter and HeadCount. Last year, Sabrina Carpenter was recognized as the organization's top artist partner, with her efforts contributing to over 35,000 voter registrations and approximately 263,000 voter engagements, surpassing any other artist. HeadCount is celebrating National Voter Registration Day, observed on September 16, by also announcing new partnerships with artists like Chappell Roan, John Legend, and Tate McRae. Registration activations will begin this week at Roan's concerts in New York, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, with HeadCount also joining McRae and Legend on their respective fall tours.
Lucille Wenegieme, HeadCount's executive director, emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “National Voter Registration Day is a celebration of our democracy and a reminder that every election matters, including the ones happening in our own backyards. This civic holiday reminds us that participation can be a unifying force. At HeadCount, we know the power music and culture has to bring people together. Today we are channeling that energy into making sure everyone has the chance to use their voice and be part of shaping the future.”
On September 16, HeadCount reported significant engagement, registering upwards of 5,647 new voters through its in-person and digital programs. Additionally, the organization recorded at least 38,000 voter actions across 40 in-person events and the digital campaign orchestrated with Sabrina Carpenter, highlighting the immediate impact of these efforts.
