Sabrina Carpenter Drops Sneak Peek: Behind-the-Scenes ‘SNL’ Antics Revealed!

With anticipation building, singer Sabrina Carpenter is set to make her debut as a host on Saturday Night Live (SNL) “TONIGHT,” October 18, where she will also return as the musical guest. Carpenter took to Instagram to remind fans to tune in, sharing a series of backstage snapshots from SNL’s 30 Rock headquarters in New York City. Her post, simply captioned “TONIGHT” and tagging @nbcsnl, was adorned with a red lips emoji, giving followers an intimate glimpse into her preparations.
The shared photos revealed various behind-the-scenes moments, including a look at her dressing room and a selection of outfit options. Viewers also caught a peek at what appeared to be a table read or writing session, along with the actual cue card utilized during the filming of this week’s promotional spot, all contributing to the excitement surrounding her appearance.
While this marks Carpenter’s first time stepping into the hosting role, she is no stranger to the iconic SNL stage. She previously graced the show as a musical guest during a May 2024 episode. Furthermore, she was a featured artist on the February 2025 SNL50 special, where she delivered a memorable duet with Paul Simon and co-starred in one of Marcello Hernandez’s popular “Domingo” sketches. Interestingly, she had a prior comedic run-in with the character Domingo during her “Juno” bit on the Short n’ Sweet Tour, an incident where a crowd member was jokingly arrested for being “too hot” at a Los Angeles stop.
With a robust background in sitcoms, extensive experience performing on live stages, and a noted talent for crafting punchy song lyrics, Carpenter is widely expected to let her comedic prowess shine during Saturday night’s broadcast. As musical guest, she will be promoting her latest album, “Man’s Best Friend,” which made a significant impact by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts in August.
