Maderas Sorli Benicarlo (Segunda FEB) has agreed terms with 20-year-old Russian small forward Makar Voronin (198cm-2005) for the new 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, with USA's Anthony Libroia having signed earlier. Voronin will remain in Spain, where he played last season at Fundacion Globalcaja La Roda in the Tercera FEB. In 31 games, he averaged 13.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.4apg, and 1.1spg, helping his team finish as the second-best team in the league. He was named Eurobasket.com All-Spanish Tercera FEB Best Prospect of the Year and made the All-Bosmans Team. In the 2023-24 season, Voronin played for Grupo Eleyco Baskonia 2nd team (EBA) in Spain, as well as UA Fundacion Lucentum Alicante (EBA).
Voronin was a member of the Russian Under 16 National Team in 2021.
He has played previously in Russia (Runa) and Spain (FC Barcelona, Torrelodones, and Seguros) as well.
