Rivers LG Security Officer, Chief of Staff Declared Wanted Surrender To Police

Two high-profile suspects declared wanted in connection with the alleged assault on Ahoada East Local Government Area’s Sole Administrator, Goodluck Iheanachor, have surrendered to the authorities.

Mr. Hector Ekakita, Chief Security Officer, and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief of Staff, presented themselves to the Rivers State Police Command on July 10, 2025, at approximately 3 pm.

The suspects were declared wanted by the police for their alleged roles in the assault on Iheanachor.

A statement by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, noted that they were subsequently interviewed by the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command and his Management Team.

The statement reads: “The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the public that the suspects, Mr. Hector Ekakita, Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief Of Staff (COS), respectively who were hitherto declared wanted on 6th. July, 2025 in connection with the alleged Criminal Conspiracy/Stealing/ Assault Occasioning Harm on the Ahoada East Sole Administrator, Goodluck Iheanachor have presented themselves to the Rivers State Police Command at Moscow Road Port-Harcourt, today the 10th. of July, 2025 at about 1500hrs.

“They were subsequently interviewed by the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command and his Management Team.

“Following the preliminary interview, they were further handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, In-Charge of State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) for further investigation.”

Iringe-Koko further urged anyone with useful information that can assist in the ongoing investigation to come forward.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police,CP Olugbenga Adepoju called for public’s cooperation and assistance in ensuring that justice is served.

He assured that the command remains committed to maintaining law and order in Rivers State, while assureing the public that the investigation will be thorough and transparent.
