Rigathi Gachagua's Fiery Homecoming: State Blamed for Chaos, Motorcade Ambushed After JKIA Return

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's highly anticipated return to Kenya on August 21, 2025, following a 43-day political tour in the United States, was intended by his Democratic Congress Party (DCP) allies to be a grand display of his political influence. His arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 1 p.m. was met by a large and enthusiastic reception, including DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala, Nyandarua Senator John Methu, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, and hundreds of chanting supporters.
