"Rest comrade": Juja protesters chant birthday song for Ojwang' on Saba Saba

A video has emerged showing the protesters in Juja singing in jubilation to celebrate someone they consider a hero.

The death of Albert Ojwang exposed the rot in the police service in Kenya, leading to many demanding justice, and it became an eye-opener for what goes on behind bars.

A video shared by pnakstar Vindee Official showed him leading Gen Z in a tribute in Juja to Ojwang on what would have been his 32nd birthday.

He started by urging the protesters to pay a tribute to the late before they burst into "Happy birthday, dear Ojwang" chants.

They then followed that up with singing the national anthem, hoping that the peace they sing about would exist.

Vindee then showed videos of the youth that had come for the protests, singing and chanting in the Juja streets, showing the huge number of youths demanding justice.

A man was also spotted donning the Santa uniform as he sat near a tire on fire in the middle of the road, chanting 'Ruto must go'.

Vindee was also seen jumping onto the highway and playing his vuvuzela, which he had been holding all along.

In a similar story, the wife of the late Ojwang also shared a touching tribute to her late husband.

Nevnina Onyango shared a lengthy message to posthumously commemorate her hubby's day, saying he was a great husband, father, and Manchester United fan.

The young lady noted just how much her son misses his dad, and how empty it feels not to have his presence every single day.
