Report suspicious movements, police charge FCT residents - Daily Trust

The FCT police command has charged residents to report any suspicious activities or persons around them to the nearest police station.

The command made the charge in a statement by Josephine Adeh, its Public Relations Officer, on the ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the boys’ brigade camping site in Zhayidna village Orozo, which resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the campers, Johnson John.

The statement said the police acted on credible intelligence and digital tracking on the mobile phones of the deceased, which made the Divisional Police Officer Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang,to lead a team of police operatives, trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident. The suspects arrested include one Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa village, Karshi.

According to the statement, at the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased.

The suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation, the statement added.

The statement partly read, ‘’The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale reaffirmed the command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.’’
