Manchester United clinched their third consecutive Premier League victory, securing a dominant 4-2 win over Brighton at Old Trafford. This crucial triumph propelled the Red Devils to fourth place in the league table, marking a significant shift in momentum under manager Ruben Amorim.

The winning streak, which includes previous victories against Sunderland and Liverpool, signifies the first time United has achieved three consecutive league wins since February 2024. This run has dramatically altered the mood around the club, especially following a challenging 3-1 defeat to Brentford at the end of September.

The match against Brighton saw United capitalize on their opportunities, looking dangerous from the outset. Summer signing Matheus Cunha opened the scoring with a superb curling effort around the half-hour mark, marking his first goal for the club. The lead was extended when Luke Shaw pounced on a loose pass from Jan Paul van Hecke, leading to Casemiro's 25-yard strike which deflected off Yasin Ayari and past a stranded Bart Verbruggen. Bryan Mbeumo added United's third from the edge of the area, though Brighton felt there was a foul in the build-up.

Despite United appearing to cruise, Brighton mounted a comeback. Former Red Danny Welbeck pulled one back with a curled effort into the top corner, and Charalampos Kostoulas headed home James Milner's corner in stoppage time, making it 3-2 and setting up a tense finish. However, Mbeumo secured his second goal of the game in the dying moments, wrapping up the 4-2 victory for United.

Ruben Amorim, while pleased with the performance, urged caution. He highlighted the team's newfound ability to respond and solve challenges but warned that momentum could quickly shift.
