The main game for Australian investors this week will be the outcome of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s board meeting, where an interest rate cut is all but expected by traders and economists alike.
But pundits will also be watching for any market reaction to Moody’s landmark move to strip the US of its AAA credit rating that casts doubt on America’s status as the highest-quality sovereign borrower in the world.
