The

Subway Series finale

went on to become a star-studded event in the MLB world as prominent Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny attended the much-awaited game between the

New York Yankees

and Mets at

Yankee Stadium

. A self-confessed baseball lover, Bad Bunny sported a powder blue New York Mets cap, which clearly spoke about love for Pete Alonso and company. The official page of MLB shared a picture of the Grammy winner on X and captioned it as“NUEVAYoL! Bad Bunny stuns at Yankee Stadium for the finale of the Subway Series.”

According to the shared image, Bunny was holding a baseball while wearing shades and flaunting his support for the New York Mets with a cap. This is not the first time the Monaco star was spotted rooting for his favorite team, as he made an appearance during a game between the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers along with the Academy Award-nominated star Timothée Chalamet. His song NUEVAYoL has a special connection with both the MLB teams, as on translating it from Spanish it is read as New York. Bad Bunny’s love for baseball is not hidden from the world, as back in 2022 he had participated in a celebrity softball game too. His works even speak volumes about his love for the sport, as he has incorporated the baseball in his work multiple times. According to the MLB, his song NUEVAYoL has a reference to the New York Mets’ $765 million star Juan Soto. As before joining hands with the Mets, Juan Soto was representing the New York Yankees. based on the Dominican athlete’s connection with both MLB teams, Bad Bunny’s song NUEVAYoL had a lyrics that mentioned “I'm in my zone, I've got no rival, no/ With the Yankees and the Mets, Juan Soto.” Bad Bunny even tried his hand in entrepreneurship with the MLB as he attempted to start his own agency back in April 2023, but it did not turn up the way he had expected it to. Reportedly, the Bad Bunny-led agency went on to become an instant hit, which raised eyebrows in the MLB world. After a thorough investigation led by the MLBPA,

Major League Baseball

Players Association, it was found that the particular agency had started luring the athletes with cash and gifts only to leave their current organizations. Also Read: “It'll be fun to go back there”: Mets’ star Clay Holmes is excited for 2025 Subway Series
