Primark Brings Hawkins to Life with Stranger Things Cafés and 80-Piece Collection Ahead of Final Netflix Season

Ahead of the highly anticipated final season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, high street retailer Primark has unveiled an exciting new collaboration, bringing the fictional town of Hawkins to life for fans. This extensive partnership includes themed cafés across the UK, offering an immersive '80s nostalgia experience, alongside an expansive 80-piece merchandise collection set to launch globally.
Building on a successful partnership with Netflix that began in 2020, Primark's latest venture aims to transport shoppers directly into the world of Stranger Things. The specially designed cafés are rooted in '80s nostalgia, featuring a full Hawkins-style revamp that serves as a perfect backdrop for fans seeking Instagram-worthy moments while eagerly awaiting the new series. The menu in these select cafés is American-inspired, promising a delightful culinary journey back in time. Offerings include loaded hot dogs, classic burgers, pizza slices, and crispy tater tots. To quench thirsts, there's a selection of hot and cold drinks, alongside retro sundaes, shakes, and the unique 'Hawkins Highfloat' – a cherry soda topped with vanilla ice cream.
Further details from a visit to one of the cafés, as reported by Emma Gill of the Manchester Evening News, highlight specific menu items. Benny's Burger Bar offers snacks such as the Surfer Boy Margherita Twist priced at £5.50, Benny's Diner Burger for £6.50, and an American Hot Dog at £5.95. 'Totside Down' tater tots or cheesy tots are available from £3.95. For those with a sweet tooth, shakes and ice cream start from £4.95, including 'The Void', a black vanilla ice cream shake topped with cream, Oreo crumb, and gummies, alongside traditional flavors like strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate.
The Stranger Things x Primark Cafés have opened or are opening in several UK locations. These include Glasgow Braehead, which opened on Friday, October 10; Edinburgh, which opened on Saturday, October 11; Manchester Market Street, opening on Monday, October 13; Birmingham, opening on Tuesday, October 14; and Cardiff, opening soon on Sunday, October 19.
Beyond the immersive dining experience, Primark is launching an 80-piece merchandise collection globally from October 20. This extensive range features exclusive artwork tees, iconic fashion pieces, and styles directly inspired by the show. A special highlight of the collection includes bold graphic tees designed by Kyle Lambert, the acclaimed artist responsible for the official Stranger Things season posters. Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing at Primark, stated that this is their biggest collection yet, celebrating every moment of the show's journey at Primark's renowned affordable prices, reinforcing their ambition to be a leading destination for licensed fashion.
Fans are also eagerly awaiting the release of Stranger Things Season 5, which is set to be the show's grand finale. The season will be released in three distinct volumes, all debuting at 1am UK time. The first volume, comprising four episodes, will drop on November 27. This will be followed by three additional episodes on December 26, with the highly anticipated series finale airing on January 1, 2026.
Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things first debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular television series, with its fourth season alone amassing over 140.7 million views globally. The show has also had significant cultural impact, famously boosting Kate Bush’s track “Running Up That Hill” back into the charts. This collaboration between Primark and Netflix underscores the enduring popularity and cultural phenomenon that Stranger Things has become, offering fans a tangible way to engage with their beloved series before its emotional conclusion.
