President Mahama nominates Wisdom Seade as Keta MCE

Keta (VR) March 26, GNA – Mr. Wisdom Bondiu Seade, the Assembly member of Anyako electoral area and the Keta Constituency National Democratic Congress Chairman, in the Volta Region, has been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to be the next Municipality Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta.

The President’s move, was in accordance with Article 234 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Art, 2017 of Republic of Ghana.

Mr. Seade, born on January 1, 1976, is also a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Denyigba Consults and Administrative Officer at ‘In My Father’s House’, a Non Governmental Organisation that takes care of orphans.

Mr. George Agbedanu, a residents of Keta, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, expressed excitement over the nomination and commended president Mahama for the timely nomination which would help the progress and development of the area and beyond.

“This news about the Municipal and District chief executives nomination by President Mahama is welcomed idea, and l think Mr. Seade is a good candidate to restructure the affairs and bring the development we want for the municipality,” he said.

He said that expectations were high for the next MCE of Keta to help invest in the progress in the areas, which include education, health, water crises, sports, infrastructure development and other pressing and critical areas for the successfulness of the municipality.

He described Mr Seade as a competent individuals, devoid of bribery and corruption, among others and urged all assembly members to vote massively for his nomination to steer the affairs and progress of the assembly.

“We are expecting him to lead the investigation and retrieve all the assembly properties that are allegedly looted by the appointees of the previous administration and bring the perpetrators to book as soon as possible.”

Mr. Agbedanu appealed to the constituents, stakeholders, assembly members and businesses among others to rally behind Mr. Seade to deliver and use District Common Fund that would be allocated and other internal generated funds well for the progress and development of the assembly to benefit all.

Some other residents GNA spoke with expressed satisfaction and joy about the nominated and appealed to assembly members to approve Mr. Seade for massive and impressive development.

They also charged authorities to select good, knowledgeable, competent and experience persons to the position of government appointees to help the next MCE to deliver well for the assembly.
