Gachagua’s DCP

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua unveiled his much-anticipated political outfit, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).
Gachagua said that he had spent the last 6 months at his home holding consultations to help shape his political party.
However, chaos erupted during the event after rowdy goons stormed the venue along the Musa Gitau Road in Lavington, in an apparent plan to disrupt the event.
At the time, Gachagua had made his speech and even read the names of party officials.


The Finnish President in Kenya

President William Ruto hosted Finland President Alexander Stubb, accompanied by his spouse, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, for a two-day state visit.
On Monday evening, Ruto hosted Finland President Stubb for a state banquet.

The leaders arrived at the state banquet in honour of the Finland President dressed in their finest and most elegant attire.
The men donned sleek tuxedos and polished shoes while women dazzled in stunning gowns and sparkling jewellery.


Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi held an engagement session with members of the Kenyan diaspora in Brazil, where they shared their experiences of living, studying, and working in the South American nation.
The meeting brought together a community of Kenyans living in the world’s fifth-largest country.
Discussions focused on opportunities and challenges abroad, as well as the government's efforts to support them.
“I had a fulfilling engagement with the vibrant Kenyan diaspora in Brazil, who shared valuable insights on living, studying, and working in the world’s fifth-largest country,” Mudavadi said.


Ruto inspects Galana-Kulalu

President William Ruto inspected the completed works at the Galana-Kulalu Food Security Project in Kilifi and Tana River counties.
The President said the completion of construction works at the Galana-Kulalu Food Security Project's siltation basin and water canal marks a significant milestone in actualising the long-awaited food production initiative.
He said the Sh519.4 million infrastructure is now undergoing final testing. It comprises a 753-metre inlet canal, a 450 million litre reservoir, a 1,210-metre outlet canal, and a 20 million-litre off-take water supply source.
He said that through a public-private partnership, the government is now poised to significantly scale up food production in line with the commitment to making Kenya food sufficient.
