Under the new rules, Indian citizens can now travel to the Philippines without a requiring visa for a period not exceeding 14 days, provided the visit is strictly for tourism. This visa-free facility is available across all major entry points, including international airports, seaports, and cruise terminals throughout the country.

In a significant move to boost tourism from India, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Philippines has officially announced a 14-day visa-free entry scheme for Indian nationals. The directive, outlined in an official Foreign Service Circular and signed by Foreign Secretary Enrique A Manalo, is aimed at enhancing bilateral tourism flows in compliance with a Presidential directive.
Under the new rules, Indian citizens can now travel to the Philippines without a visa for a period not exceeding 14 days, provided the visit is strictly for tourism. This visa-free facility is available across all major entry points, including international airports, seaports, and cruise terminals throughout the country.
However, the DFA has made it clear that:
This admission is non-extendable and cannot be converted into other visa categories.
Visitors must not have any derogatory records with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration.
Transit passengers to other countries via the Philippines must still apply for a Philippine transit visa if required.
To avail of the visa-free entry, Indian nationals must meet the following conditions at the port of entry:
A passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay.
Confirmed hotel accommodation or booking.
Proof of financial capacity, such as a bank statement or certificate of employment.
A return or onward ticket to the next country of destination.

The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) has reinforced its commitment to welcoming Indian travellers by simplifying travel guidelines. Indian passport holders can visit Georgia visa-free with a valid US, UK, Schengen, or Japan visa. For others, a straightforward visa process is available, with clear instructions on required documents. GNTA urges Indian visitors to use official platforms for applications and ensure all documents are in order for a smooth experience.
This initiative is seen as a strategic effort to attract more Indian visitors to the Philippines and is expected to improve people-to-people ties, enhance economic cooperation through tourism, and position the Philippines as a more accessible destination in Southeast Asia for Indian travellers.
The circular further states that this policy will supersede previous guidelines issued in 2010 under FSC 22-10 and will be effective immediately until further notice.
With India emerging as one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets in Asia, this move could lead to a substantial uptick in tourist arrivals from India and bolster the Philippines' tourism economy in the coming years.
