I am on an iMac 24 inch, 2023, using Sequoia 15.5.

I have tried to open some documents from 2017, all of which are "packages", folders designed to look like single documents (.rtfd, .pages, .scriv). None of them can be opened in the program that created them (Text Edit, Apple's Pages, Scrivener).

I have looked inside, and all the required files are still there, the actual data is there, but the documents themselves are fundamentally broken.

Is there a way to fix this, or can anyone tell me what has gone wrong to break all of my package documents?
