Ozuna Dominates Latin Airplay with 33rd Chart-Topper!

Ozuna has achieved his 33rd chart-topping hit on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart with his track “Sirenita.” The song ascended from No. 4 to No. 1 on the chart dated September 20, marking a significant milestone in the artist's career. Released on June 5 under Nibiru/Sony Music Latin, “Sirenita” reached the pinnacle of the chart in its ninth week, having spent six of those weeks within the top 10.
During the tracking week of September 5-11, “Sirenita” demonstrated robust growth, enjoying a 10% increase in audience impressions across the United States, tallying 7.2 million impressions, as reported by Luminate. This surge in radio play for Latin rhythm stations in the U.S. also coincided with the song’s climb from No. 6 to No. 3 on the broader Latin Airplaychart, further solidifying its widespread appeal.
With this newest No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, Ozuna reinforces his position as one of the most successful artists in the chart’s history. He maintains the third-highest number of chart-toppers since the list’s inception in 2005, a feat surpassed only by J Balvin, who holds 38 No. 1s, and Daddy Yankee with 35. Other notable artists in this elite group include Bad Bunny with 29 chart-toppers, and Maluma, Wisin, and Wisin & Yandel, each with 20.

Ozuna’s extensive catalog boasts 37 career songs that have reached the top three positions on various charts, with an impressive 35 of these ultimately climbing to No. 1. While "Sirenita" has now joined the ranks of his chart-toppers, his collaboration "Te Boté" (featuring Casper Mágico, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, and Bad Bunny) stands as an example of a high-achieving track that peaked at No. 2 in 2018 without reaching the summit.
Beyond its radio success, “Sirenita” made a notable entry as the Hot Shot Debut of the week on the Hot Latin Songs chart, landing at No. 42. In addition to its substantial radio audience, the song also generated a 7% gain in streaming activity during the tracking period. Furthermore, “Sirenita” debuted at No. 22 on the Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart, marking Ozuna’s third entry on this particular list since its launch in April. This chart comprehensively factors in streaming data, digital sales, and radio audience impressions to determine its rankings.
