A much-anticipated new Costco is finally coming to Ontario, and it will open its doors next month.

After months of speculation, the retail giant has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of a new store in Newmarket on its website for August 2025. However, an official date has not been announced yet.

According to Grocery Business, the store will be located on Harry Walker Parkway, just off Highway 404 near Davis Drive. It will anchor a bustling new plaza packed with other retailers, including an H Mart grocery store.

This location is no small build. The warehouse-style store will span roughly 15,500 square metres, making it one of the larger Costcos in the province.

True to form, it'll offer everything from groceries and electronics to appliances, apparel, and seasonal items. You can also expect a pharmacy, food court, and a full-service gas station on-site.

The new Newmarket store adds to Costco's footprint in the area, joining an existing location just north of town in East Gwillimbury.

The new location is expected to draw a large crowd when it opens, with many eager to take advantage of the bulk savings and membership perks.

Additionally, with H Mart located in the same plaza, shoppers can look forward to a one-stop shopping destination that combines big-box convenience with international grocery finds.
