NPP Coordinators Declare Overwhelming Support for Bawumia Among Polling Station Executives

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is consistently receiving strong endorsements from New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates as his nationwide campaign progresses. Electoral area coordinators, who play a crucial role in leading clusters of polling stations within various constituencies, have been publicly declaring their support for Dr. Bawumia across the country. This trend was notably evident on Saturday, December 27, during his tour of four key constituencies in Accra.
In Accra, the overwhelming majority of electoral area coordinators in Korle Klottey, Odododiodioo, Ablekuma Central, and Ablekuma West reaffirmed their confidence in Dr. Bawumia, expressing their belief that he should be retained as the Flagbearer of the NPP for the upcoming 2028 elections.
In the central business district constituency of Odododiodioo, Dr. Bawumia was greeted with a rousing welcome. Here, an impressive 19 out of 21 electoral area coordinators publicly endorsed him. A spokesperson for the coordinators articulated their stance, stating, "We supported Dr. Bawumia in 2023, and for us, nothing has changed because we believe in his leadership." The spokesperson further emphasized the grassroots sentiment, adding that polling station executives consistently express their preference for Dr. Bawumia. They also noted the executives' concern about individuals seeking to undermine the party for selfish interests, reinforcing their firm support for Dr. Bawumia's leadership due to his good character as a humble and peaceful man.
The pattern of robust support continued in Ablekuma Central, where 18 out of 21 electoral area coordinators boldly declared their backing. They highlighted that their support was mandated by their respective polling station executives, who, based on their analysis, believe Dr. Bawumia is the most capable candidate to secure victory for the NPP. These coordinators, alongside others in the Greater Accra Region and with the strong backing of polling station executives, have been actively working for Dr. Bawumia and are committed to continuing their efforts until victory is achieved, emphasizing that the party's success is their ultimate interest.
Similarly, in Ablekuma West, 12 out of 16 electoral area coordinators stepped forward to endorse Dr. Bawumia. Like in the other constituencies, they acknowledged the substantial support for Dr. Bawumia from their polling station executives. Beyond the coordinators, a majority of other influential stakeholders within the constituency, including former executives, members of the council of elders, and current executives, also publicly declared their support for the former Vice President, further solidifying the broad base of his endorsements.
