The Member of Parliament for Navrongo, Simon Akibange Aworigo, has assured residents of his commitment to extending the national electricity grid to more communities in the area.

He said the initiative is vital for improving healthcare delivery, supporting local businesses, and aligning with the government’s vision of a 24-hour economy.

Speaking to Citi News, the MP reaffirmed his dedication to addressing infrastructure deficits and ensuring that residents of Navrongo benefit from ongoing national development programmes.

He stressed the importance of strengthening key sectors such as agriculture, education, and infrastructure to drive local progress.

“Most parts of Navrongo are still without electricity,” he said. “I’ve received numerous concerns from constituents urging me to do more. I’ve already taken steps, and I want to see more areas connected to the national grid—not just for domestic use but also to power businesses and economic ventures.”
