Nigerian newspapers review: CBN hikes ATM charges to N100 per N20,000 withdrawal

In today’s Nigerian newspapers review programme, Today in the News, Vanguard leads with a story on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s removal of monthly free withdrawals at ATMs and subsequent charges of N100 per N20,000 withdrawal.

Another headline has the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) voiding Abia State chapter’s suspension of chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Adolphus Wabara.

Also, one story has the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, saying the NIN is now a prerequisite for accessing social services.

Moving over to other Nigerian newspapers, The Guardian leads with the headline that says the CBN bets on breaking POS monopoly and improving banks’ cash operations.

The Punch’s biggest headline says the House of Representatives has demanded reversal as new pricing for telecoms services begins to reflect the 50 per cent tariff hike.

Lastly, The Nation leads with a story of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, firing back at the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, for attacking President Bola Tinubu.
