Nigerian Music Icon 2Face Idibia's Marital Crisis Deepens, Urgent Calls For Help Amid Public Concern

Nigerian music legend 2Face Idibia, widely known as 2baba, has publicly addressed the ongoing reports of a marital crisis with his wife, Natasha Osawaru. Initially, the singer urged fans and well-wishers to remain calm amidst the swirling speculation. In a video message shared on his Facebook page, 2baba described the situation as "getting out of hand" and "dangerous," expressing concern that the heightened attention could put his wife at risk. He stated, "I know what fans can do, I know what people can do. I am perfectly okay. But this is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair to anyone." He called upon friends, family, and fans to "cease fire" and allow the matter to be resolved privately, emphasizing, "People will get their issues sorted at home, not today. Please, I beg you. I am perfectly fine. Please, I’m okay."
The marital tensions have been the subject of significant social media attention for several weeks. The controversy reportedly originated in the United Kingdom, where the couple allegedly had a heated exchange that led to police intervention and 2Face's brief arrest. The issue resurfaced publicly during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where both 2Face and Osawaru were observed arguing openly on camera, further fueling widespread speculation about a deepening crisis in their marriage.
In a subsequent and more direct public comment, the music icon, Innocent Idibia (2face), shared a short message on his Instagram Story simply stating, "Help me." This plea marked his first explicit public comment since the controversy began trending online. His call for help followed an Instagram post by his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, who expressed significant concern. Hyacinth paired his message with lyrics from one of 2Face’s songs, writing, "You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us to save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows."
The emotional call for help from 2Face prompted a swift reaction from fellow musician Teniola Apata, better known as Teni. Responding to 2Face's Instagram Story, Teni posted a video on Instagram, appealing to co-singers Timaya and Kcee to intervene in the situation. She captioned her video with a supportive message, declaring, "2face my legend, we’re coming to save you." The series of incidents and public exchanges have left fans deeply worried about the singer’s well-being and the stability of his marriage.
