The Super Falcons of Nigeria achieved a historic milestone by clinching their record-extending 10th Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, dubbed "Mission X." This triumphant victory came after a thrilling 3-2 comeback against host nation Morocco in the final, a match held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat that will be remembered for generations.

The final match was a pulsating display of resilience. Morocco initiated a fast start, with Ghiziane Chebbak scoring in the 13th minute, followed by Sanaa Mssoudy in the 24th, giving Morocco a two-goal lead at halftime. The match-winning goal came in the 88th minute when Okoronkwo again found Jennifer Echegini, sealing the 3-2 comeback. Defender Michelle Alozie playfully mocked the Moroccan supporters' efforts post-match with the cheeky Snapchat caption: “Their lasers didn’t work,” symbolizing the team's unwavering composure.

The Super Falcons' victory ignited widespread celebration and commendation across Nigeria. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu extended his congratulations, praising the team's talent, discipline, and belief.
