Network Norfolk : Worship Nights in Dereham with Joshua Leventhal
Canadian Worship Leader Joshua Leventhal will be leading a free worship night at St Nicholas Church in Dereham next week, and all are warmly invited to come along for what promises to be a Spirit-filled evening.
It has been nearly two years since began opening their home in for worship. Born out of a deeply personal encounter with God, they felt led to create space for others to do the same - to worship Jesus freely and for extended time without rush or structure. From that posture of obedience, were born.
What started in their living room quickly grew beyond the walls of their home. As word spread, so did the hunger - drawing worshippers from across Norfolk and beyond. Village halls, borrowed buildings, and more recently St Nicholas Church in the centre of Dereham have played host to these powerful nights of Spirit-led worship.
With no agenda other than lifting the name of Jesus, Worship Nights have welcomed people from every background and denomination, united in their longing for more of God's presence. There was a large gathering of worshippers at St Nicholas in August of last year, which was a great success.
This summer, Worship Nights returns on , and it promises to be one of the most special gatherings yet, featuring Canadian worship leader on his debut visit to the UK.
Joshua, based in Kelowna, British Columbia, is a singer-songwriter and worship leader known for his raw, passionate songs and ability to stir deep affection for Jesus through worship. His music spans genres - from gospel and folk to indie rock - but it’s always marked by honest lyrics, rich theology, and heartfelt connection. He currently serves as Associate Director of Worship Arts at Willow Park Church and has released several well-loved songs including Lion|Lamb, Wounded Heart, and Jealous.
Chris Simons said, “Worship Nights has a clear and singular purpose - to create a space where anyone can come and spend an extended time pouring out worship on Jesus. We've found that by keeping this simplicity, many lives are being touched by the presence of God across the generations. The evening at St Nicholas Church promises an atmosphere of welcome, reverence, and passionate praise. Whether you're a worship leader, someone seeking a deeper connection with God, or simply curious - this is an open invitation to come and linger.”
The event takes place on Friday 25th July, with doors opening at . Entry is free.
