Ndindi hits at the government over police brutality

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has criticised the government over the deaths of 50 Kenyans within a month.

He said it was strange that Monday's chaos reigned despite the police closing all the major roads.

Ndindi said the NIS has a Sh50 billion budget, yet failed to gather intelligence reports on the planning of the chaos that spread in 22 counties.

“If there was that report why were the chaos not stopped and protect the lives of Kenyans?” Said Ndindi.

Speaking at Wanjengi Coffee Factory in his Kiharu backyard, he said the police who had blocked the access to Nairobi could not have averted chaos in the counties.

“It is in public knowledge that there are senior politicians spreading narratives through the government agencies, designed to create a rift among Kenyans, a scheme that will fail,” said Ndindi.

He stated that the police, with a budget of Sh200 billion, failed to protect Kenyans on Monday.

He added that leaders in the counties of Kajiado, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Nakur,u among others, have openly stated that the goons behind the chaos witnessed were transported.

“It is shocking that after the June 25 chaos, a senior government official walked in the streets of Nairobi parading more than 50 IDs alleging they were left behind by the criminals who participated in looting,” said Ndindi, adding that the state should carry the responsibility.
