NBA 2K26 Drops Bombshell Player Ratings: Who's Crowned King of the Court?

2K Games has commenced the highly anticipated unveiling of player ratings for NBA 2K26, generating significant excitement across both the WNBA and NBA fan bases. This year's iteration of the popular basketball simulation series features comprehensive ratings for athletes from both leagues, alongside exciting new game modes and features.

In the WNBA, athletes are once again prominently featured, with 2K Games revealing the ten highest-rated players. Leading the league with an impressive 98 OVR is Minnesota Lynx power forward Napheesa Collier. She is closely followed by Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson and New York Liberty power forward Breanna Stewart, both earning a 97 OVR. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark secures the No. 4 spot with a 96 OVR, while NBA 2K26 cover star Angel Reese, after an admirable rookie season for Chicago Sky, clinched the final spot on the top ten list with a 90 OVR. The complete top ten WNBA players are: Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx) – 98 OVR, A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces) – 97 OVR, Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty) – 97 OVR, Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever) – 96 OVR, Alyssa Thomas (Phoenix Mercury) – 95 OVR, Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty) – 93 OVR, Nneka Ogwumike (Seattle Storm) – 92 OVR, Satou Sabally (Phoenix Mercury) – 92 OVR, Jonquel Jones (New York Liberty) – 92 OVR, and Angel Reese (Chicago Sky) – 90 OVR.

Furthermore, 2K has announced significant enhancements for WNBA players within the game. For the first time, WNBA players will be available in all MyTEAM modes in NBA 2K26, allowing players to construct mixed squads featuring both NBA and WNBA stars. This substantial update is complemented by the introduction of brand-new Game Changer cards, the exciting Breakout: Gauntlet game mode, and 5v5 co-op functionality through All-Star Team-Ups within MyTEAM.

On the NBA side, 2K Games has also been progressively revealing its top 100 rated players, with Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic claiming the coveted No. 1 spot with a 98 OVR. He shares the top rating with Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is also this year's game cover star, also at 98 OVR. Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo rounds out the top three with a 97 OVR. NBA 2K26 is slated for release on September 5, 2025, and will be available across multiple platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo. Special edition purchasers will enjoy the benefit of up to seven days of early access to the game.
