At first, Kuria congratulated former president Uhuru Kenyatta following his recent win over the leadership of the Jubilee Party.

While referring to Uhuru as his brother, Kuria urged the former head of state to use his position in the party to champion peace in the country.

"Congratulations, my senior brother President Uhuru Kenyatta, for winning back the control of the Jubilee Party. At a time when there is a competition to burn Kenya through escalation, emotions and divisions, the Jubilee Party under your stewardship has a major role to play in keeping Kenya safe. The future is luminous," Kuria said.

In another tweet, Kuria shared a poster of the Jubilee Party that had his picture and that of the former president.

In the poster, the former Trade Cabinet secretary referred to himself as the secretary general of Jubilee.

Apart from the post, Kuria went further by changing his profile picture on X (formerly Twitter) and uploading Uhuru's photo, in full military attire.

The poster attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans, some suggesting that Kuria was planning to dump Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Alex Mayore:

"One thing about Hon. Moses Kuria is that he sees far in politics, not just in Mt. Kenya but nationally. Before you insult Kuria, understand the fact that there's no predictions he's made that didn't come to pass. Kuria warned Riggy G in the past not to enter the Kenya Kwanza coalition."

Captain Kipkorir 🇰🇪:

"Moses Kuria where are you at the moment 🤣."

Samuel K. K:

"Never! And I say never! Trust a broke politician. This guy Moses Kuria was the one who was used by Kasongo to discredit Uhuru. By the way, they come from the same village. No way can we accept him. No way!"

Cornelius K. Ronoh:

"Desperate times call for desperate measures."

Kanini Kega, CBS"

"Surely, my friend MK, you are a party leader, former CS, and currently the president; you want to leave all those trappings and take a subordinate position of SG! Something isn't adding up."

As reported earlier, Uhuru regained full control of the Jubilee Party following a decisive ruling by the Milimani High Court’s Civil Division.

The ruling, delivered on Thursday, June 12, reinstates Uhuru’s leadership in the party, dealing a big blow to the team comprising Sabina Chege.

The court confirmed Saitoti Torome as the national chairman and Jeremiah Kioni as the secretary-general.

The court validated key resolutions passed during the party's National Delegates Convention (NDC) held in April and May 2023, which Uhuru attended.
