The blogger was murdered at Central Police Station hours after he was arrested for allegedly publishing a defamatory post on X about Deputy Inspector of Kenya Police Eliud Lagat.
Kenyans and the family have been demanding the arrest of all those involved in the blogger's killing.
The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) arrested several suspects, including Central Police Station OCS Samson Talam.
Now, Ojwang's family has disclosed that they have no plans of laying to rest the popular blogger until justice is served
Speaking at the homestead on Tuesday, June 18, the family spokesperson, Herman Ouko, said the burial date has not been agreed upon.
"The date is not known. But as a family, we are waiting for updates from Nairobi regarding the investigations. We have given time for the investigations to be completed before we can continue with the burial plans," Ouko said.
Ouko stated that the family's pain has only deepened following the recent stepping aside of the DIG Lagat.
The family insisted that accountability and not symbolic action would bring them closer, and they would wait however long it would take until those responsible are held to account.
"Saying he has stepped aside is not something the family can celebrate or talk about. As we said, everything is in the hands of the government. We are waiting for investigations to reveal the people responsible," he added.
