Monsta X Drops Explosive New English Album 'Unfold'!

K-pop sensation Monsta X has officially embarked on its latest musical journey with the release of their English-language album, "Unfold." The new collection, which dropped at midnight, marks a significant milestone for the group, solidifying their position as pioneers in the global music scene. Accompanying the album's debut is the official music video for the track "heal," a lush, midtempo number that beautifully blends soul and gospel influences, offering listeners a rich auditory experience.
"Unfold" is described as a profound exploration into the "messy architecture of the human heart," carefully tracing the intricate "emotional arc of fracture, distraction, and resolution." This thematic depth underscores Monsta X's commitment to delivering meaningful and relatable content to their ever-growing fanbase.
With this release, Monsta X achieves a remarkable feat, becoming the first K-pop act to unleash three full-length English albums. This accomplishment highlights their unwavering ambition to transcend borders and establish a genuine connection with a global audience, particularly within the U.S. market. Representatives for the group emphasize that Monsta X is not merely expanding their global footprint but is actively "solidifying their role as a rare K-pop act that authentically speaks to the U.S. market while maintaining their signature intensity and performance excellence."
The six-member group has consistently made strategic moves to achieve this global recognition. In 2020, their inaugural English album, "All About Luv," made history by debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, making them only the third K-pop act to break into the chart's top 10. They followed this success in 2021 with their second English offering, "The Dreaming," which impressively peaked at No. 21 on the all-genres list, further cementing their presence in the American music landscape.
The year 2025 has been particularly eventful for Monsta X. They celebrated their 10th anniversary as a group by ringing in Christmas with the "Connect X" concert movie, a heartfelt tribute to the shared journey of members Joohoney, I.M., Hyungwon, Kihyun, Minhyuk, and Shownu, alongside their dedicated fandom, MONBEBE. Earlier that year, Joohoney, Hyungwon, and Kihyun completed their mandatory South Korean military service. Following their return, the band promptly re-entered the studio, releasing "The X EP" in September to commemorate their significant anniversary.
"Unfold" notably includes the previously released singles "Growing Pains" and "baby blue," both of which Monsta X impressively debuted at iHeartRadio’s 2025 Jingle Ball last December. The album is now available for full streaming.
