Misfits 22 Mayhem: Demi Sims, Dillon Danis Score Explosive Wins in Unforgettable Boxing Spectacle

Misfits Boxing and its newly introduced Misfits MMA platform recently delivered a series of high-profile and dramatic events in Manchester, showcasing the dynamic world of celebrity and influencer crossover fights. Co-founded by YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI, Misfits continues to be a home for stars from various fields to step into the ring or cage, leading to moments of skill, swift victory, and significant controversy.
Among the notable debuts, TV personality Demi Sims, known for her appearances on "The Only Way is Essex" and "Made in Chelsea," made a triumphant entrance into Misfits Boxing. Sims, who has a strong boxing lineage through her father, Tony Sims, an esteemed trainer to professional boxers like Conor Benn, demonstrated impressive prowess in her four-round bout against influencer Nadeshi Hopkins. From the opening bell, Sims displayed a potent lead left jab, effectively setting up right-hand combinations that forced the referee to issue a standing count to Hopkins in the first round. Cornered by former middleweight world champion Darren Barker, Sims maintained pressure, landing eye-catching left hooks and controlling the action. Despite Hopkins proving to be a game contestant after being absent throughout fight week, Sims cruised to a unanimous points victory, celebrating with her father, who was restricted from cornering due to his British Boxing Board of Control license. Her cousin, Joey Essex, also featured on the same fight night.
History was also made with the inaugural Misfits MMA bout, marking Dillon Danis's emphatic return to mixed martial arts. The American jujitsu champion, who had been sidelined for years by a series of knee injuries, showed no signs of rust as he secured a submission victory over Warren Spencer in a mere 15 seconds. Danis, whose previous Misfits appearance was a boxing match against Logan Paul where he was disqualified for attempting an MMA move, swiftly capitalized when Spencer, an influencer-turned-boxer, bizarrely attempted to take the action to the ground. Leveraging his expert ground game, Danis quickly secured a chokehold, forcing Spencer to tap out and advancing his MMA record to 3-0. The drama extended beyond the fight itself, as strongman Eddie Hall entered the ring to confront Danis, leading to an agreement for a sensational future fight despite an 11-stone weight difference. Hall, who had previously won his MMA debut in April against Mariusz Pudzianowski, agreed to cut down to 300lb for the contest against Danis, who weighs 170lb.
Adding to the event's controversies was the heavyweight clash between Netflix star Chase DeMoor, from "Too Hot to Handle," and Natan Marcon at Misfits 22. The build-up to the fight was fiery, with Marcon throwing an egg at DeMoor, who had threatened to pull out of the bout. DeMoor dominated the brief two rounds, landing a significant uppercut in the second that resulted in a busted lip for the Polish influencer. The ringside doctor's decision to call off the fight due to Marcon's injury ignited rage from Marcon, who contested the stoppage and immediately tried to attack DeMoor with a flurry of punches, which security promptly intercepted. DeMoor seized the moment to further taunt his rival by twerking in the ring, celebrating a bizarre victory and his Misfits title win. The early stoppage over a cut lip left many fans baffled, though some acknowledged the severity of the injury. DeMoor has solidified his position as one of the prominent faces and a heavyweight champion within the Misfits events.
