Metro In Dino Film & Box Office Performance

Anurag Basu's much-anticipated film, "Metro In Dino," has officially premiered in cinemas, generating considerable buzz since its initial announcement. The movie features an extensive ensemble cast whose individual storylines intertwine throughout the narrative. Key actors include Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and Saswata Chatterjee, all taking on lead roles.
Upon its release, "Metro In Dino" commenced its box office journey on a respectable note. According to Sacnilk, the film garnered Rs 3.35 crore on its opening day. This initial collection sets the stage for the film's performance, which is also influenced by the creative process behind it.
Actors involved in the project have shed light on their experiences working with director Anurag Basu. Aditya Roy Kapur, in an interview with Filmfare, expressed his reasons for collaborating with Basu, stating, “With Dada, everything and every day is a discovery, every day is a fun challenge. It is unpredictable, you don’t know what new idea he is gonna throw your way and that’s the most fun part of the process.” Similarly, Fatima Sana Shaikh, who previously worked with Basu on "Ludo," praised his directorial approach in an interview with Mid-Day. She highlighted his considerate nature, emphasizing, “As a director, he is considerate and takes care of you. People think if the film is taking long, a lot of shoot is being done. But that’s not the case. Since his films have an ensemble cast, he has to coordinate the dates of so many actors. If you trust him, he will get the best performance out of you. Also, his characters are so well-written.”
The film "Metro In Dino" draws thematic parallels to Anurag Basu’s earlier acclaimed work, the 2007 film "Life In A Metro." Both movies explore the complexities of love and relationships within urban settings. "Life In A Metro" featured a notable cast including Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi.
