Megan Thee Stallion Ventures Into Business, Celebrates Grand Opening of Her First Franchise Restaurant

Grammy-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion has expanded her entrepreneurial ventures by officially opening her first Popeyes restaurant in Miami on New Year’s Eve (December 31). This significant milestone marks a natural progression from her initial partnership with the fast-food chain in 2021, which saw the successful launch of her signature 'Hottie Sauce'. Now, Thee Stallion is not only an ambassador but also a proud franchise owner, further diversifying her robust business portfolio.
The grand opening of the brick-and-mortar location in South Beach was a celebratory event, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Houston Hottie herself. Expressing her excitement and gratitude, Megan Thee Stallion took to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, sharing, “Prepping Thee Hot Staff before THEE OFFICIAL FIRST EVER MEGAN THEE STALLION POPEYES OPENED I’m so excited, so proud, and I just feel so much gratitude! Hottiessss I’m officially a franchise owner. Come to South Beach Miami and dine with us.”
An accompanying video clip captured the essence of the grand opening, showing Megan interacting with her entire staff, greeting enthusiastic fans, addressing the store, and even personally serving up crispy chicken sandwiches. She conveyed her aspirations for a positive work environment to her employees, stating, “This is going to be a great experience for me. It’s going to be a great experience for y’all because I’m gonna be here, I’ma be acting cool, I’m gonna see what y’all got going on in here. I hope this is a fun job. I hope everyone’s having a blast.” Emphasizing her leadership philosophy, she added, “This is the first Megan Thee Stallion Popeyes. I just want to lead with love. I want everyone to lead with kindness. I don’t like that mean s—t.”
The journey to this grand opening was hinted at earlier in April 2025, when the Houston native teased her fans with a clip from a construction site, donning a hard hat and promising the arrival of the “littest Popeyes.” Her initial statement during the 2021 partnership highlighted her appreciation for Popeyes' commitment to empowering Black women and expressed her anticipation of opening her own restaurants, seeing it as a pivotal moment in her entrepreneurial evolution.
