Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Wednesday that Thermo Fisher Scientific wants to expand its manufacturing base in the country. US-based Thermo Fisher Scientific is an analytical instrument manufacturer and clinical research provider.

The American company's instruments, equipment, software, services and consumables address a range of needs from sample, material characterisation and chemical analysis to clinical diagnoses and biological-based therapeutics manufacturing, according to its website.
