Little Mix Star Jade Thirlwall's Shocking Sacrifice for Diana Ross Sample!

Jade Thirlwall, the former Little Mix star, has made a significant splash with the release of her debut album, "That's Showbiz Baby!" The album, which dropped last Friday, has become a major talking point, particularly due to a standout track that features a sample from the legendary singer Diana Ross.

The sampled track, "Before You Break My Heart," incorporates elements of The Supremes' 1965 classic, "Stop! In The Name Of Love." Thirlwall revealed in an exclusive chat with The Sun that securing permission for this iconic sample came at a considerable personal cost: she forfeited all potential royalties generated by the song. Despite her initial uncertainty about how fans would receive the track, "Before You Break My Heart" has emerged as a fan favorite, garnering the most online traction since the album's release.

"That's Showbiz Baby!" is performing strongly in the charts, currently holding the No. 3 spot in the UK midweek charts. Thirlwall expressed contentment with this position, acknowledging that she anticipates Ed Sheeran will secure the top spot. The album has already produced two UK Top 40 singles: "Angel of My Dreams," which peaked at No. 7 and is noted as a subtle jab at her former X Factor boss Simon Cowell, and "FUFN," released in March, which reached No. 25.

Further cementing her solo success, Jade Thirlwall received her first solo Brit Award for Best Pop Act in February. Looking ahead, she is set to embark on her first nationwide tour next month, allowing fans across the country to experience her new music live.
