Lithuanian Center Arminas Vilkas (200-C-2007) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Vilkaviskio Perlas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 17-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds, while his team beat KKM I (#5, 14-8) 100-89. Vilkaviskis is placed at 3rd position in Lithuanian U18 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Vilkaviskis will need more victories to improve their 15-7 record. In the team's last game Vilkas had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Vilkaviskis and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Arminas Vilkas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.5rpg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg and 70.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Arnas Liandzbergas (2007) of

Penevezio SC/RSSG U19 team. Liandzbergas had a very good evening with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Penevezio lost that game 66-102 to the higher-ranked Zalgiris (#6, 12-10). Penevezio are still at the very bottom. 21 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Penevezio managed to get this year. Liandzbergas is well-known at Penevezio and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 10.2rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Dominykas Urbonavicius (188-G-2007) of

Zalgiris Kaunas U18 team (#6). Urbonavicius got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He was a key player of Zalgiris, leading his team to a 102-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Panevezio (#12, 1-21). Zalgiris needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 10 lost games. Urbonavicius has a very solid season. In 8 games in Lithuania he scored 18.5ppg. He also has 9.4rpg, 5.1apg and a FGP of 53.2%.
