Nutribullet Treviso Basket (Serie A) agreed terms with experienced 35-year-old USA-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182cm-80kg-1989, college: Wichita State) for the new 2025-26 season. He was the top scorer at H.Tel-Aviv in the Israeli Winner League. In 12 games, he had 7.9ppg, 1.9rpg, and 4.6apg. He helped them to make it to the Israeli Cup Semifinals. Ragland also played 19 games in Eurocup, where he recorded 5.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 4.0apg, and 1.0spg. The previous (2023-24) season, he played at Peristeri BWin Athens (GBL) in the Greek league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Ragland is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Greece, Israel (Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Eilat), Russia (Lokomotiv), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), Spain (UCAM), Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka and Darussafaka Lassa) and Italy (Armani Milano, Cantu and Avellino).
Among many awards, his team made it to the League Semifinals in 2024. Ragland was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek GBL Newcomer of the Year in 2024. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Treviso.
He graduated from Wichita State in 2012 and it'll be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player. Ragland played also for North Platte Community College for one year.
