Old Wild West Udine (Serie A2) confirmed experienced 35-year-old ex-international forward Matteo Da Ros (204cm-95kg-1989) in their roster for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He has played there for the last two seasons and had a good year, being named League Player of the Week.
He was also a member of the Italian international program for some years. Da Ros played for the Italian Senior National Team in 2012 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2009.
He represented Italy at the FIBA EuroBasket U18 in Madrid, Spain, 18 years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 6.5 ppg and had 2.7 rpg.
Da Ros has spent his entire career in Italy playing for five other teams: Cantu, Trieste, Verona, Monza, and Basket Barcellona.
His team made it to the Serie A2 Gold Semifinals in 2024. He is nearing retirement age as a player. It's very likely he may finish his playing career at Udine.
