Al-Ula lands Wael Arakji, ex Al Riyadi - July 14, 2025

Newly promoted Al-Ula (SBL) landed 30-year old Lebanese international 193cm guard Wael Arakji for new season. Arakji played this summer at Al Riyadi in Lebanese LBL league. He managed to play in five leagues in three countries last year (!!!).
Arakji has been a member of Lebanese international program for some years. He has been regularly called to Lebanese senior team since 2015 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2012.
Arakji is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with Asian, African and of course North American leagues. Arakji has played previously professionally in China (Royal Fighters), Kuwait (Jahraa), Qatar (Al Arabi and Al Shamal), Tunisia (US Monastir) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks).
Among many awards he received Asia-Basket.com All-Basketball Champions League Asia Player of the Year award in 2024.
