If you’ve ever tried to keep a baby name under wraps, you’ll feel Laura Byrne’s pain.

Her husband, former Bachelor star Matty ‘J’ Johnson, appears to have let their unborn daughter’s name slip on his Two Doting Dads podcast – without telling Laura.

The accidental reveal came to light when Laura was doing an ‘ask me anything’ on her Instagram stories. One follower didn’t hold back, asking: “Did you punch Matt in the ovaries for revealing [your] baby name on Two Doting Dads?”

Laura’s reaction was instant: “He did f***ing what?!”

Later, from the comfort of their bed, Laura, 39, raised the question with Matty, 37, while filming for Instagram. “Matt I have a question for you: did you say the girl’s name, the baby’s name, on the podcast?”

Matty looked genuinely confused and denied the accusation: “I would never, never. Never would I say that.”

To which Laura replied, cheekily: “I think you might have.” Both then burst into giggles.

Laura turned to the camera to reflect on the moment: “People always ask us, ‘how do you know the limits when you’re telling stories and stuff on the podcast?’ and normally we’re pretty good… Normally.”

Matty chimed in, trying (and failing) to look innocent: “Whoever is spreading this false information, shame on you, because that’s not true at all.”

While fans are convinced the name was mentioned, it seems any baby-name bombshell has since been scrubbed from the episode.

The couple, who met filming the fifth season of The Bachelor Australia in 2017, and wed in 2022, already share daughters Marlie who is almost six, and Lola, four – and are due to welcome their third child in October.

Laura first shared their pregnancy news in April on her Life Uncut podcast with Brittany Hockley. “It turns out, we’re having baby number three! I’m pregnant guys!” she said.

She went on to explain she was 18 weeks pregnant at the time and found out early on – not because of symptoms, but thanks to a friend’s comment.

“It is a Christmas miracle. We had a really small window. I have known for a very long time. I found out very early on in this pregnancy, not because I had any symptoms but because my friend made a comment that made me do a pregnancy test.”

Matty was overseas filming I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! at the time, and Laura waited over two months to share the news with him.

“I took a pregnancy test while Matty was filming… but did not tell him the news until she was two and a half months pregnant.”
