The Kwara State Government has announced that the Common Entrance Examination for placement into Junior Secondary Schools will hold on Saturday, July 26, 2025, across all 16 local government areas of the state.
The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, confirmed the date during a press briefing at the ministry’s headquarters in Ilorin on Wednesday.
A follow-up statement issued by the ministry’s Press Secretary, Peter Amogbonjaye, on Thursday stated that preparations for the exercise had been finalised.
The examination is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. at designated centres throughout the state.
Dr. Olohungbebe called on candidates, parents, and school authorities to strictly comply with all examination regulations. He expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving full government sponsorship of the placement exam.
He also warned that any school head or administrator caught charging unauthorised fees would be sanctioned in accordance with state education policies.
