Konga Celebrates 13 Years of E-Commerce Transformation in Nigeria

Konga, Nigeria’s trailblazing composite e-commerce giant, is marking a remarkable 13-year journey of innovation, impact, and transformation in the digital commerce landscape. This significant milestone is being celebrated with an explosive month-long event dubbed the 'Konga 13th Anniversary Sale'.
The anniversary sale, themed ‘Yafun Yafun,’ is scheduled to run from July 1st to July 31st, 2025, offering shoppers across Nigeria unbeatable deals and discounts of up to 50 percent, among other benefits. This celebration is a testament to Konga's unwavering commitment to its customers and partners.
Commenting on this significant anniversary, Group CEO of Konga, Nnamdi Ekeh, expressed profound appreciation. He stated, “Thirteen years ago, Konga set out to transform Nigeria’s commerce landscape. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we are incredibly proud of the impact we've made – not just in e-commerce, but in fostering digital inclusion and supporting countless businesses.” Ekeh reaffirmed the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering unmatched value for the future.
Adding to the reflections, Chief Operating Officer of Konga, Dave Omeregie, highlighted that the company's journey has been one of “relentless innovation, operational excellence, and an unshakable commitment to customer satisfaction.” Omeregie emphasized Konga's mission to lead Africa’s digital commerce frontier, noting that Konga has built a unique infrastructure encompassing last-mile delivery, secure payments, healthcare access, and smart retailing, all of which are enabling real change.
Konga began its mission to revolutionize retail in Nigeria when it was launched in 2012 as a pioneering online platform and a simple online marketplace. Following its strategic acquisition by the Zinox Group, what started as a bold digital venture underwent a remarkable transformation. Konga has since evolved into a powerful digital ecosystem, reshaping how Nigerians shop, pay, travel, access healthcare, and experience media.
