Kelly Osbourne's Engagement & Black Sabbath's Final Concert News

Kelly Osbourne is officially engaged to her longtime partner Sid Wilson, a joyous occasion that unfolded following an unforgettable evening marking her father Ozzy Osbourne's monumental final performance with Black Sabbath. The legendary Prince of Darkness took to the stage for one last time on Saturday, July 5, 2025, joining his Black Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park, Birmingham, for a truly historic farewell show. After the incredible concert, the Osbourne family witnessed a heartwarming moment as Sid knelt and proposed to Kelly in front of her parents, Ozzy and Sharon. Kelly, 40, shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a sweet video of Sid's proposal, where he expressed his desire to spend the rest of his life with her, as reported by The Mirror.

During the touching proposal video, Sharon Osbourne was heard asking the crew backstage to be quiet. Sid then began his heartfelt words, saying, "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world." However, his romantic moment was humorously interrupted by Ozzy, who playfully interjected, "F*** off! You're not marrying my daughter." Sid, accustomed to Ozzy's sense of humor, laughed it off and continued, "Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?" A visibly stunned Kelly turned around, covered her face, and excitedly nodded yes. The video then showed Sid proudly presenting the sparkling ring to Ozzy, while one of Kelly's friends teased him with an "about time" for not proposing sooner. The couple embraced and kissed amidst cheers from their loved ones. Kelly and Sid have known each other for 20 years, though their romantic relationship began only in 2022. They welcomed their son, Sidney, in the same year. A source revealed they met when Sid’s band toured with Ozzfest in 1999 and remained friends since.

Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert, titled "Back to the Beginning," was a mega-hit and a one-day-only charity event held at Villa Park in Birmingham, Black Sabbath's hometown. The concert reunited Ozzy with original members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, marking Black Sabbath's first performance together in 20 years. The show included iconic hits such as “War Pigs,” “NIB,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid.” Ozzy, seated on a black winged throne, also performed solo hits like “Mr. Crowley” and “Crazy Train.”

The event drew a massive lineup of rock and metal giants, with performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Gojira, Alice in Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, and Wolfgang Van Halen. Hollywood actor Jason Momoa and Adria Arjona hosted the event, with Momoa expressing how Black Sabbath's music inspired his characters. Ozzy Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and had largely been away from live shows, made a surprise and emotional return to the stage. The concert was streamed worldwide with a two-hour delay, allowing a global audience to witness the historic event. Pre-recorded tributes from figures like Dolly Parton, Elton John, and Jack Black were aired, with Jack Black notably recreating Osbourne’s “Mr. Crowley” performance. The city of Birmingham showed its pride by decorating the area with murals and tributes leading up to the concert.

The concert was co-organized by Sharon Osbourne and Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, who also served as musical director. All proceeds from the 10-hour event benefited Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. While the concert marked Black Sabbath's collective concert career end, founding drummer Bill Ward expressed a desire to record another album with his original bandmates, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler. Ward had an on-and-off history with the band, not playing on their 2013 album '13' or their 2017 'The End' tour due to a contract dispute. However, Ozzy emphasized the importance of Ward being part of the 'Back to the Beginning' show, stating his career started and would finish with Bill by his side. Ward is currently busy with his solo career, having nearly finished recording two new albums.

Black Sabbath, formed in Birmingham in 1968, played a pivotal role in shaping the heavy metal genre, and their sound and imagery have influenced generations of musicians. Ozzy Osbourne also reached mainstream audiences through the MTV show 'The Osbournes'. A documentary titled 'Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now' is set to release on Paramount+, exploring his career, medical struggles, and life beyond music. The 'Back to the Beginning' concert brought the band’s journey full circle, returning to where it all began, solidifying their enduring legacy in music history.
