JoySports Invitational 2026: Celebs, CEOs Set for Epic Showdown with Big Prizes!

This highly anticipated event, a cornerstone of Ghana's corporate sporting calendar, will gather companies and participants from various sectors at the University of Ghana for a comprehensive showcase of athletic prowess and team spirit.

The 2026 tournament, powered by The Luckiest and supported by esteemed partners including Toyota, Minerals Commission, Ayuda, Latex Foam, Vallex Lease-Equip Ltd, and Virtual Security Africa, promises a captivating blend of sports and camaraderie. A special highlight this year will be the presence of John Dumelo, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, who will join participants for an early morning health walk. Starting at 6:00 am from the University of Ghana Stadium, the walk will traverse the campus to the Balme Library and back, setting an energetic tone for the day.

Following the health walk, an invigorating aerobic session will take place at the Legon Stadium car park from 6:40 am to 7:15 am, preparing attendees for the day's main events. The official opening ceremony is slated for 7:30 am, after which the sporting action will commence promptly at 8:00 am. Football will be the central attraction, complemented by a diverse array of other disciplines including chess, table tennis, scrabble, draughts, and ludo.

The opening round of the football competition is set to feature 17 matches played simultaneously across Park 1 and Park 2. Prominent Ghanaian companies and institutions will vie for advancement. Key fixtures at Park 1 include McDan Group against Equity Health Insurance, Labadi Beach versus 3D Wireless Plus, Best Education Services Limited taking on Royal Kingdom Estate, Ghana Publishing Company Limited challenging Old Mutual, and Fair Wages and Salaries Commission facing La Community Bank. Park 2 will host equally thrilling encounters, with The Luckiest battling Narh-Bita Hospital, Latex Foam squaring off against Volta Catch, SIC facing Heritage Christian University, National Petroleum Authority against Minerals Commission, Tema Oil Refinery versus Toyota Ghana Limited, and The Multimedia Group clashing with GIMPA.

Adding another layer of excitement, Dennis Adutwum, CEO of The Luckiest *712# and the man behind the famous tagline “Luck is everywhere,” returns to defend his CEOs Penalty Shootout title. Adutwum, who was inch-perfect in his 2025 victory against 50 other business leaders, will face a formidable corporate field this year. The CEO Penalty Shootout, along with the Ladies Penalty Shootout and swimming competitions, will feature from midday. The afternoon session will further intensify with the second round of football matches and a series of engaging novelty events such as sack races, lime and spoon races, sprinting, and tug of peace.

The competitive action will culminate with the highly anticipated football final, scheduled between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. This will be followed by a grand awards and prize presentation ceremony, where champions and outstanding performers will be celebrated across numerous categories, including the CEO Penalty Shootout, Ladies Penalty Shootout, arm wrestling, swimming, tennis, and chess. Individual football honors, such as Best Footballer and Top Scorer, will also be presented.

An impressive array of prizes awaits the victors. The winning men's football team will receive 12 watches, while the Female Penalty Shootout champion will take home a 50-inch television. Other coveted prizes include a complete table tennis table, surprise phones for Unisex Relay winners, a fridge for the Tug of Peace winning company, special gold prizes for Arm Wrestling and CEO Penalty Shootout winners, a unique outing with their spouse for Unisex Lime and Spoon winners, and GHS 2,000 worth of gift vouchers for the Swimming champion.
