the cast of Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming film, Madden. The film is said to be centered on the video game Madden NFL, rather than a biopic or a sports drama. The beloved EA Sports’ NFL video game has generated billions in revenue since its creation over 35 years ago.

In August 2024, it was announced that Nicolas Cage was set to star in the David O. Russell-directed film as famed NFL coach and sports commentator John Madden. Christian Bale, who won an Oscar for his role in Russell’s The Fighter, will also star in the movie as Raiders owner Al Davis.

Mulaney is in talks to play Trip Hawkins, the founder of EA Sports. The 3-time Emmy Winner currently appears on Netflix with his new variety talk show, Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. 

Agatha All Along star, Hahn, will play Madden’s wife, Virginia. With comedic supporting roles in movies like Step Brothers and Bad Moms, Hahn mostly recently received praise for her role in Apple TV+’s The Studio. 

Miller, who last starred in Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga, will play Davis’ wife, Carol.

Production is to start next month in Atlanta. Russell wrote the script from an earlier version written by Cambron Clark.
