Jimmy Fallon's New Music Picks Are as Chaotic as You'd Expect - NewsBreak
Jimmy Fallon is back with another round of JFJAM picks.
So much new music dropped Friday across a mix of genres and artists, but the late-night talk show host had a few standout favorites. Fallon took to his Instagram Stories to share four tracks he’s loving right now, giving his millions of followers a peek into his current favorites. From Kpop to indie, the 50-year-old comedian has music recommendations for every type of listener.
The first JFJAM featured was "DAISIES" by Justin Bieber, which is the second track of his new album SWAG. It was announced on Thursday, less than 24 hours before the release, that the Canadian singer was going to drop his seventh studio album. SWAG is Bieber's first album since his 2021 record, Justice.
BLACKPINK is also in Fallon's area. The global K-pop sensation, made up of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, released their comeback song "JUMP" on Friday. This is their first song as a group since 2023. For the past two years, the four girls have been focusing on their solo careers, all releasing their own albums or EPs. BLACKPINK is currently on their Deadline World Tour, which kicked off last weekend at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The girl group is set to perform at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday.
If pop songs are not your speed, don't worry, because Fallon has something for all the indie and alternative lovers out there. The third song that the Saturday Night Live alum highlighted was "mangetout," which is the English indie band Wet Leg's sixth song in their new album, moisturizer. Wet Leg has been on Fallon's late-night show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, twice as musical guests, with their most recent appearance being last April.
Lastly, Fallon shouted out Frankie Grande's newest remix, "Hotel Rock Bottom," featuring his sister, Ariana Grande. It is well known that Fallon and Ariana Grande are good friends, and the Wicked actress and singer has appeared on his talk show multiple times. On Monday, Frankie Grande took to Instagram to announce that a remix version of the "Hotel Rock Bottom" is part of the deluxe edition of his debut album of the same name, and would be released on Friday.
Fallon’s selections this week cover a little bit of everything — from Kpop and indie rock to moody pop and high-energy remixes. All JFJAM songs featured on his Instagram story this Friday afternoon can be streamed on all platforms.
