Jersey City's 4th of July Festival + Fireworks Spectacular to Return for 2025 - Hoboken Girl
While Macy’s annual 4th of July fireworks will light up the East River this year, Hudson County locals can still catch a festive display, complete with the picturesque NYC skyline as the backdrop. Jersey City’s 4th of July Festival + Fireworks Spectacular is set to return to the JC waterfront on Friday, July 4th, 2025. This community event will feature local vendors, beer gardens, a kids’ zone, and, of course, a patriotic fireworks display.
Jersey City’s 4th of July Festival + Fireworks Spectacular will kick off at Exchange Place on July 4th at 12PM.
Attendees can expect around 60 vendors, three DJ stages, including The Cookout Stage, The World Stage, and the House Music Stage, two beer gardens hosted by 902 Brewing Co., and a Kids’ Zone featuring a variety of activities and a bounce house. Presented by Fireworks by Grucci, the night will conclude with a fireworks display beginning at 9:30PM over the Hudson River, accompanied by a synchronized patriotic soundtrack.
Fourty different food trucks will also be in attendance, serving an array of dishes, including BBQ, jerk chicken, empanadas, pupusas, soul food, Indian momos, Mongolian skewers, tornado potatoes, and dumplings.
“Each year, Jersey City’s Fourth of July Festival brings people together from throughout the tri-state area to celebrate our country’s independence in one of the most diverse cities in America,” Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop said in a statement. “We have built a tradition that showcases the incredible talent we have right here in Jersey City and gives our small businesses a platform to shine in front of tens of thousands of people.”
“Jersey City’s July 4th celebration brings together everything that makes this city so special: the people, culture, music, food, and community,” Christine Goodman, Director of Cultural Affairs, said. “It’s an unmatched energy—and an honor to be part of it.”
