“Well, that’s what my publicist told me to say, anyway.”

and are free from prison and preparing to share all the details of their time in the clink with the public in a new ABC News Studios’ IMPACT x Nightline episode titled, , which will air Sunday.

The interview– among the first for the former couple following their release from federal prison– will focus on Todd and Julie’s experience behind bars after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud crimes in June 2022.

As previous told you, Todd was originally sentenced to 12 years in federal prison, while Julie received a seven-year sentence. Last month, however, the pair were released from prison after receiving a full pardon from President .

“…A LOT of complainin’ to do, y’all!”

Joining Todd and Julie for ‘The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup’ interview is their daughter , who began campaigning for her parents’ release soon after they reported to prison to serve their respective time behind bars. In the trailer for the upcoming special, Todd appears to maintain his (and presumably Julie’s) innocence, telling reporter that he’s not here to make amends for anything he has done.

“I don’t have an apology to give you or anyone else over the money that I’ve made,” Todd says.

Are you SURE prison changed you, Todd?

As The Ashley previously reported, Todd insisted during a press conference held after his release last month that he had been “convicted of something that I did not do.” At the time, he also seemingly confirmed that Julie’s past apology for her role in the couple’s alleged crimes had been insincere.

“You’re placed in a position as a defendant to either bow down and kiss the ass of the Department of Justice and accept responsibility for things that you did not do in order to avoid a stronger sentence,” he said, referring to Julie’s statements while in court last year to appeal her sentence.

While Todd continues to insist that he and Julie were wrongfully convicted of their crimes, he claims the lockup experience has given him a new appreciation for freedom and even insists that the time he spent behind bars has changed him.

“You don’t realize how much freedom means to you until you don’t have it,” Todd says, later adding, “[Prison] has to change you. If it didn’t change you, then you’re not human.”

In the trailer for the upcoming special, viewers also see Juju hitting Todd and Julie with specific questions regarding the charges that landed them in prison, while also noting the Chrisley family critics who believe the pair should have remained behind bars.

“Sorry not sorry, haters.”

“I’m not oblivious to the fact that some people don’t agree with it,” Julie says of her and Todd receiving a full pardon.

This weekend’s special won’t be the only time the Chrisleys return to TV in 2025.

As you may remember, shortly before the news of Todd and Julie’s pardon was announced last month, details about the Chrisley family’s new reality show were revealed. The Lifetime series– currently titled – is slated to premiere later this year, presumably with Todd and Julie taking on a more active role in the series now that they are no longer incarcerated.

“A full pardon AND a steady paycheck?! This is too dang good to be true!”

“We are blessed to have our family back and we’re blessed to be coming back to television,” Todd said in a press conference after his release. “Because we do have a much bigger story to tell now.”

‘The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup’ begins streaming Sunday, June 29, on Hulu and Disney+. Watch the trailer below.
