JENNIE Electrifies Open’er Festival with Unreleased Tracks, Hints at Upcoming Music

JENNIE, the acclaimed BLACKPINK member, delivered a highly anticipated and electrifying performance as the headliner for the final night of Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland, on Friday, July 4. Her 17-track set captivated the audience and notably featured the debut of three unreleased songs, signaling the imminent release of new music from the artist.

Among the new material, JENNIE introduced “Lock It Down,” a vibrant dance-pop track exploring themes of a “secret love affair,” which had been previously previewed at Governors Ball. She also shared “Heaven,” an emotionally charged song that delves into heartbreak, and “Less Than A Lover,” a dreamy ballad inspired by summer. JENNIE expressed her excitement to the crowd, stating, “It’s a song I wrote thinking about summer. It feels really special to share new music with so many people. I really can’t wait to share this new music with you soon.”

The hour-long performance drew heavily from her successful 2025 debut solo album, Ruby. Additionally, JENNIE showcased her notable collaborations, including “Dracula” with Tame Impala and “One of the Girls” with The Weeknd. Notably, her set did not include any BLACKPINK songs, focusing entirely on her burgeoning solo discography.

JENNIE's solo career has been marked by one of the most sustained chart runs of any K-pop solo artist in Billboard history. Her collaboration “Dracula,” originally released as a Tame Impala solo track in October before a duet version arrived in early February, soared to become one of 2026’s most dominant radio hits. It achieved the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart dated July 11, a historic first for both artists. The track also peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it impressively held its position for 37 consecutive weeks as of mid-June.

Her debut album, Ruby, solidified her solo prowess by debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned five entries on the Hot 100, making JENNIE the first female K-pop solo artist to simultaneously place three songs on the chart. Overall, she has logged a total of six Hot 100 entries as a soloist, a record for any female K-pop solo act. Furthermore, Ruby has achieved over 3 billion streams on Spotify, underscoring its immense global popularity.

The fourth and final day of Open’er Festival also featured performances from other notable artists such as Addison Rae, PinkPantheress, and Jade. The festival weekend saw headline sets from Calvin Harris, Florence and the Machine, The Cure, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, rounding out a diverse and star-studded lineup.
