Old Wild West Udine (Serie A2) signed 30-year-old American 198cm swingman Aubrey Dawkins (college: UCF) for the upcoming season. He most recently played at FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets in the German BBL league. In 21 games, he averaged 6.1ppg and 2.4rpg last season. Dawkins also played 4 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he had 8.5ppg, 2.5rpg, and 2.3apg. He briefly played for BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod (VTB United League) in the Russian league.
Dawkins is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Dawkins has played professionally in Montenegro (Derby), Puerto Rico (Osos), Russia, Turkey (Turk Telekom and Bursaspor), NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards), NBA G League (Erie BH and G League Ignite) and The Basketball Tournament (Friday Beers).
Among many awards, his team won the Montenegrin Cup in 2024. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Montenegrin League All-Imports Team in 2024.
Dawkins graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2019, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. He also played for the University of Michigan for 2 years.
